FAQ’s
What are the many issues & questions brought to mind when mold is present in your home?
Q: What is mold?
Mold, mold spores or fungi are microscopic organisms that exist both indoors and out.
Q: Do I have good mold or bad mold?
There is no good or bad mold. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) says all mold does not belong growing in your home because it releases spores into the air. Allergenic mold affects about 15% of the population, while toxic mold affects everyone.
Q: How can I fix the problem?
Call to schedule a free visual inspection of the affected area with our certified mold specialists.
Q: What is the difference between a Remediator and a Tester?
Remediators are the individuals who perform the actual removal of mold & contaminants from your home. Testers obtain samplings of the affected area and forward that sample to an independent 3rd party laboratory for analysis.
Q: Do I have to have a test performed to determine if it’s mold?
In most cases NO which in turn saves you money. Our certified technicians will perform a visual inspection of the area and provide you with a cost analysis for remediation free of charge. If the tech is uncertain, they’ll advise you to obtain a bio-diversity test from an independent 3rd party since it is a conflict of interest for any company to perform both testing & remediation.
Q: How long will the work take & do I have to leave the premises during the remediation process?
No two jobs are alike, therefore you will be advised prior to commencement as to the number of days. Full containment of the affected area allows individuals to remain in their homes during the removal of active mold growth.
